1. If Dystopian literature mainly depicts the divergence between individual identity or ambition and the collective goals of the state, which crush or suppress any individual expressions, how does your author use this idea to create their novel. In other words, what portion of history influenced your authors creation?
2. Discuss with your group and decide which portion of the dystopian world created by your author seems to be a practice that could be applied successfully in today's society? Would your group use that portion exactly as described or would you change it slightly? How?
3. What is your group's evaluation of the novel? Simply, did you like or dislike your novel? Why? (Be sure to use literary language in your answer) ie: did the author effectively analyze society's governmental downfall? Did the author use tone effectively to create a particular mood? Were the themes fully explored?
